Construction Techniques
The Black Train is made entirely of solid oak wood with a structure of spars and ribs, like a vintage boat. The external cladding is made with high-quality red fir wood from Val di Fiemme, polished with shellac and beeswax, like Stradivari’s violins.
The inside is lined with silk velvet and parts in hand-worked mirror made of artistic Murano glass.
The metal elements are made of hand forged brass.
